A small town located in the middle of one of the most beautiful local lakes. The lake island is home to less than 2,000 people and is only 20 minutes away from Milan. If you decide to visit it you can enjoy Italian cuisine in wonderful traditional restaurants near the water, and you can visit a magnetic temple named after the Virgin Mary. It depicts the wonders of the Madonna, including the protection of the natives from the outbreak of cholera in 1816. To this day, every second Sunday of July, a feast is held in her honor.
San Gimignano, Siena Province
It is a town with just over 7,000 people, which keeps its narrow streets and historic fortresses filled with incredible legends, about which you will hear in the most detailed and interesting version of the locals and in their native language. This is where the pious ones stopped on their way to Rome. Castelmetzano, Potenza Province
Here's what you can see 300 kilometers from Rome. A small nestled mountain town, a home for less than 1,000 people, which in 2007 was announced by Budget Travel magazine as the best place you don't know about.
