General provisions and basic terms
These General Terms govern the relationship between Omega Language School and the users of its foreign-language training services — in person and online. The service is provided by Omega Language School and is addressed to the respective user/client.
A "Student (Client)" is any natural person studying a foreign language at Omega Language School. A "Parent" is the parent or guardian of a student under 18. "Enrolment (registration)" includes familiarisation with the General Terms, completing a registration card, and paying a fee. The fee paid at enrolment may be the full price of the course or 50% of it, with the remainder due on the day the course starts. Enrolment is considered complete once the course has been paid.
Fees and payment
Course fees and the cost of learning materials are listed in the price list published on the website and in the school's offices. The fee may be paid at once or in two instalments — the first at enrolment and the second by the course start date.
Payment is made by bank transfer or on site at the office: 29 Vitosha Blvd., Sofia. Invoice details are provided at enrolment and cannot be changed within the same course. The school reserves the right to change fees and the cost of learning materials unilaterally, but not during a course that has already started.
Termination of training by the school
The school may terminate a student's training, without owing a refund, in case of behaviour that disrupts the normal teaching and working process — systematic last-minute requests to change an agreed schedule, disrespect towards teachers, the administration, or other students, damaging the school's reputation with false claims or offensive language; in case of delayed or missed payment of an instalment within the stated deadlines; and when a package of individual lessons has not been used within 6 calendar months.
The school reserves the right to cancel a course of 60 or 100 teaching hours if not enough students have enrolled by the announced start date. In that case an alternative is offered: a later start date; a course with fewer hours for a group of 3, 4, or 5 people; or a full refund of the fee. Only when a course is cancelled are the fee and the cost of the textbooks refunded in full, provided the textbooks are returned in the condition in which they were received.
Certificate and next course
A certificate for a successfully completed language level is issued to a student who has requested one and whose results cover 75% of the final exam/test. The certificate is issued within 10 working days in electronic format; a duplicate is issued for 20% of the course price.
The programme for the next level is determined by the results achieved during the course and on the final exam. After an unsuccessful final test, the student may retake it up to 1 month after the end of the course, for a fee.
Personal data and recording
Omega Language School is a personal-data controller registered under the Personal Data Protection Act. The data of the student and their parents/guardians are provided voluntarily at enrolment and when a certificate is issued, and are processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act. The school may record the learning process and use the materials to present its work.
Suggestions, complaints, and entry into force
Suggestions, complaints, and requests are submitted to office@omegals.bg and are reviewed by the Manager no later than one month after they are received.
Before enrolling, the student reads and agrees to the General Terms. They are approved by order of the Manager of Omega Language School, are publicly available in every office and on the website, and apply to all new and current clients as of 20 July 2020. Clients are informed of changes in due time.
