How can we learn English quickly?

How can we learn English quickly?
This is one of the most common questions our students ask when they enroll. The answer can hardly be exhausted with one sentence. So we have tried to gather the most useful tips and guidelines that will help you to advance in learning the language quickly and easily.

Determine your goals

When you start with English lessons, it is important to determine exactly what you need the language for. The objective largely defines the approach to training. It's not the same whether you study for pleasure and common culture or want to live, work or study abroad.

Determine the level

Before starting with the hours you need to determine the exact level of your English at the moment. This will help you to work systematized in smoothing gaps and upgrade knowledge. When we talk about levels, however, it is also good to be aware of how many levels are under the European Language Framework and what language skills guarantee you the absorption of each one. Thus, with a proper purpose, you will concentrate only on what you need and useful. Here's a brief overview of the levels:
  • A1 You have a limited capacity of words, you use simple grammar and simple sentence to describe a familiar place, people or to communicate if necessary.
  • A2 You can understand and use the most commonly used vocabulary, read simple texts, articles and other things from everyday life such as schedules. You can communicate in everyday situations and exchange information on familiar activities.
  • C1 You understand basic information from radio and television shows and texts containing daily and professional vocabulary. You can handle most travel situations or everyday life using English.
  • C2 You understand when you listen or read long exhibitions with relatively complex vocabulary and argumentation. You can communicate with each other lightly and casually in a wide range of topics, both in writing and in both words.
  • C1 You understand long speeches even when logical relationships are only implied. You're sensing stylistic nuances in complex literary texts. You use language flexible and efficient for social and professional contacts and you can create well structured texts yourself.
  • C2 you understand with ease any speech and texts, and you can participate without difficulty in discussions of a different nature. You freely express all nuances of your thought and you have free conversational and idiomatic expressions. Do not neglect grammar or words

English today is especially popular everywhere. Our daily contact with him often leads us to ignore some of its components as not particularly important. Even without learning, you understand simple words and phrases does not mean that you are ready to start with a second level . . Grammar should be studied systematically and with accumulation. If you have no solid foundation, there is nothing to build on and such efforts are sooner or later doomed to complete collapse. But at the same time, you should not focus on grammar and put aside new words. Even if you know perfectly everything about the times and the word, if you do not have enough words you will not even be able to express your simple thoughts.

Listen and speak from the beginning

Even if you are an absolute beginner, do not step in when your teachers speak English at the very first hour. They will certainly try to understand what they teach you. But even if you do not understand everything in English, it will help you to get used to the language and its usual structures and speech. This will help you in the future when you start to structure sentences yourself. So take advantage of it, and why not train yourself listening to radio or television at home. Do the same with talking. Forget the worry, just talk. Yes, everyone knows you don't have enough capacity for words or grammar and you'll probably be wrong. But if you start at the very beginning, you will overcome fear and then the language barrier. Besides, while you're trying and wrong, multiple repetitions and repairs will help your brain memorize the right thing. Then it will be much easier for you to talk without constantly thinking about the exact time or speech . . You will simply do so instinctfully.

Take your time.

If you have decided to learn the language, take this task seriously and take the time it takes. You can't expect that only class visits are enough to advance. Create a work system at home, for example . . . an hour each day, and do not allow deviations. Discipline is important for the quick result. The more time you spend on the tongue, the faster you'll advance. In short . . set a clear goal and follow it without losing efforts in things that are outside of it. For example, if your goal is to talk and understand at the average level to feel more comfortable when travelling or casual meetings with foreigners . . select a target level B1 and complete it with a conversational course that will help you use what you learned. Do not proceed to the upper level until you have confirmed your skills in this. If you want to study or work abroad, you need a minimum of B2 or C1. Learn systematized and do not neglect any component of the language, because you will not be able to achieve your goals if you cannot speak, write or understand well. And how fast that can happen, it's entirely up to you. The more time you spend, the faster you'll be able to make progress. But be careful, if you overdo it, you'll get the opposite effect. So find ways to do activities with English pleasant . Listen to the radio, watch movies, read books or register in a foreign forum that is related to your hobby. If you like photography, you can practice your language at will while discussing your favorite subject. But remember . . each journey begins at the first step. And we're here to help you make it.
