After English and Chinese, Spanish is the most spoken language in the world and many people choose to study it because it opens up many opportunities for traveling, professional and personal development.
Compared to other languages, Spanish is relatively easy to learn, especially with regard to pronunciation and reading. More challenging can be grammar because of the irregular verbs, the large number of times, and Subjuntivo subjuntiv).
When is Subjuntivo used?
C Spanish There are three main grammatical slopes: manifestive, subjunctive and conditional. The indicativo serves to describe real facts and events, and the indemnification (imperativo) . . . for commands or guidance.
Unlike them, the subjunctive may express:
- emotions - Joy, fear, sadness and others. Me allegro de que vengas (I'm happy you're coming);
- wish . eg: Quiero que vayas (I want you to go);
- possibility . . e.: Quizás venga (Maybe will come);
- doubt . . for example: Dudo que el lo sepa (I doubt he knows this);
- opinion . eg: Es importante que estudias todos los dias (It is important to study every day).
Subjuntivo is also used in expressions of denial, willpower, low probability and others.
How is Subjuntivo formed?
The subordination shall be included in subordinate sentences beginning with the Unions . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . To form in the subjunctive sentence, time must be known in the main and also the temporal connection between a principal and subordinate verb. When the sentence is in Subjuntivo, the verb is not in the same tension which causes change in the ending.
Depending on the verb time, in the main sentence is different now subduing, present perfect subjunctive, imperfect subdivide and past perfectly subdivide which are formed in various ways.
Current Subjunctive Loop
It is formed by the verb in current times tightening in a singular and first person (yo), removing the ending -o and adding the endings characteristic of a bedpan:
- verbs with an ending -ar accept the endings -e, -es, -e, -emos, -ees,-en. For example: eccuce, escuches, escuche, escuchemos, escucheis, escuchen;
- the verbs that end on -er and -ir get endings -a, -as, -a, -amos, -ais, -an. For example: coma, comas, coma, comamos, comais, coman.
Since some Spanish verbs are incorrect, they change their form more radically as the forms of verb ir
Current perfect subjunctive slope
It is formed by the auxiliary verb haber in the present time of Subjuntivo and past communion of the verb in the main sentence. For example: Haya estudiado (I studied).
Now an imperfect subjunctive
It is formed by a verb that is past completed time and third person plural, by dropping the ending -ron and adding the endings -ra, -ras, -ra, -ramos, -rais, -rais, -ran for the verbs of I group and -se, -ses, -se, -se, -semos, -seeis, -sen for the verbs of II group.
Past perfect subjunctive slope
It is formed by the verb haber in past unfinished time and past communion of the verb in the main sentence. For example: Esperaba que hubieras comido (I expected you did not eat).
Mistakes when using Subjuntivo by language students
The main errors made by Spanish students are usually related to:
Incorrect application after verbs
Common error is the use of subjunctive inclination if the main verb requires a dominating. For example, in the sentence Quiero que escribes mi tarea times are converging incorrectly.
Mixing with an expressive slope
Use an expression instead of subjunctive. For example, Quiero que escribes instead of Quiero que escribas.
Mixing of irregular shapes
Sometimes create difficulty verbs like saver-sepa or Haver-haya.
Incorrect use in questions
Subjuntivo should not be used in matters that do not require or express any doubt. For example: Estas en casa is correct, unlike Estas que estas en casa.
Skip Que
In some cases, especially in more complicated sentences, missing a quee leads to error. For example, Prefiero no hables.
Incorrect use of negation
It is wrong if another verb form in imperative structures is used instead of the present subjunctive inclination. For example, No hables instead of No hable for a polite form.
Ignore the need to use subjunctive inclination
It is wrong in situations requiring expressions of emotion, willpower, uncertainty or doubt to use an expressive instead of subjunctive inclination. For example, in terms like Es importante que estudies (it is important to study).
Excessive use of Subjuntivo is also incorrect because not all subordinate sentences require this inclination.
