How to quickly memorize the numbers in English
Learning the numbers of the numbers in English is one of the first things you should do when you start your training on it. This can often be quite stressful, because the logic of their formation may be quite different from that in your native language. Today we will focus on English and his numbers.

0 to 12

You're probably wondering why not till 10:00 already? Usually, the digits 0 to 10 in each language just need to be memorized. They are the basis on which then all other numbers are formed following some rules. In the case of English, however, you must learn how to write and pronounce the next two digits - 11 and 12. This is because they form different from the other numbers between 10 and 20.  But let's start with the first ten -- this is how they write and say the numbers in English:
  • 0 - nought [n s], zero [sz sz sr su]- zero
  • 1 - one [wssn] - one
  • 2 - two [tu
  • 3 - three [θri
  • 4 - four [f
  • 5 - five [fass] - five
  • 6 - six [ssssssssss] - six
  • 7 - seven [
  • 8 - eight
  • 9 - nine [na
  • 10 - ten [ten] - ten.
    • 11 and 12 - just remember them without trying to think about the rules:
  • 11 - eleven [
  • 12 - twelve [twelv] - twelve

13 to 19 and the teen ending

So this is the first rule. The numbers 13 to 19 are formed as to the corresponding digit 3 to 9 is added. The end teen:
  • 13 - thirteen [
  • 14 - fourteen [
  • 15 - fifteen [
  • 16 - sixteen [
  • 17 - sevenenteen [ sev(sev
  • 18 - eyeeen [ "e"] - eighteen
  • 19 - nieteen [snSt] - nineteen
Attention! You have probably already noticed that some of the numbers in English are changing the first part of the combination, i.e. the number to which the attachment is added. Try to remember these changes while you're still teaching them, so that you don't make any unpleasant mistakes in the future:
  • at 13: "three' is amended as "tir'.
  • At 15: (five) the consonant "v" changes to "f," and the letter "e" disappears.
  • At 18: instead of getting "ttt," after adding to the "eight" of the sufix "teen," it actually remains only one.

Bonus tip!

It will be much easier for you to remember the plugin that makes these numbers if you know that besides ending, it also has a self-important meaning. The word "teen" means a person aged 13 to 19. This is where the word teenager - compilation of teen [tēn] and age [āj] - in Bulgarian - teen.

Tens from 10 to 90

Round numbers Here things get even easier just to the numbers 2 to 9 add the ending "ty." Even easier to remember them will be knowing that here as in the above category remain changes in spelling.
  • 20 - Twenty [
  • 30 - third [
  • 40 - forty [
  • 50 - fifty [
  • 60 - sixty [
  • 70 - secondy [
  • 80 - eighty [supplied] - 80
  • 90 - Ninety [sydnam] - ninety
The numbers between the tens If you've learned everything so far, then you're fully prepared to count to 100 without problems. Because the numbers in English between tens are formed, as well as in Bulgarian - just add the corresponding number to the ten. In English it is even easier because there is no union connecting, which is . In his place, a defiis appears, which is a bar that separates the two components of the number. We're not going to list all of the numbers in this category, but here are a few examples:
  • 23 - Twenty-three
  • 44 - forty - four - forty-four
  • 99 - Ninety-nine.
Hundreds, thousands and millions Here, the only thing you need to remember is that the Hundred [sh ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny y ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny ny The formation of their derivatives is very easy, just put the corresponding digit before the Hundred, thousand or million. In English, numbers don't change by type, there are no maturity, so they are invariable:
  • 100 - (one) hundred [wssn] [sh sndr s] - one hundred
  • 200 - two Hundred [tu
  • 300 - three Hundred [θri

  • … In this order, without any particular difficulty, you can continue counting as much as you want.
The numbers between hundreds, thousands and millions Here things happen in a way quite close to the Bulgarian one. If you want to say, for example, 103, just as in our native language you should use the union between hundreds and figures . That is, 103 is written and pronounced as: one Hundred and three - [wsssn] [sh ngdr .] [and] [θriː].
