At the hotel.

When planning a vacation, one of the most important things is to choose a suitable hotel. However, it is even more important that you are prepared with some useful phrases that you can use on the spot when you arrive. Because surprises are always possible or you just have to ask or ask for something unnegotiable in advance.  Quiero una habitación con baño /ducha, vista, balcón, una cama extra, camas separadas/ - I want a room with bathtub / shower, view, balcony, extra bed, separate beds/. Hay mensajes para mi?  - Any messages for me? Puede/Puedes darme mi llave, por favor? - Can I have the key, please?

Fees and public transport

Even if the beach is just meters away from the hotel, you may resort to taxi services or urban transport. 
  1. Necesito un taxi, por favor. - I'd like a cab, please.
  2. Cuánto tiempo tarda en llegar? - How long will it take?
  3. Cuanto cuesta? - How much is it gonna cost?
  4. Debo transbordar bus?  - Do I have to change the bus?
  5. Dónde está la parada de bus? - Where's the bus stop?
  6. Puede/Puedes decirme cuándo bajarme? - Can you tell me when I have to get down? 
  7. Este bus va hacia ... ? - Did the bus go to...? 

In a shop and restaurant

Here are some basic phrases that will help you if you decide to shop or eat at a local establishment. 
  1. Me gustan estos pantalones. - I like those pants. 
  2. Puedo probarlo? - Can I try it on?
  3. Dónde están los vestidores? - Where's the sample room? 
  4. Tiene este en rojo/azul/amarillo/verde/morado/rosado? - Do you have this in red/blue/yellow/green/purple/pink?
  5. Una mesa para dos, por favor. - Table for two, please.
  6. Me gustarìa hacer una reserva. - I'd like to make a reservation.
  7. La cuenta, por favor. - Check, please.

On a sightseeing hunt

When you want to take a break from the beach, you can also visit many cultural and architectural landmarks, whose home is Spain. Then you might want to ask - can you shoot at the site or get into trouble over a selfie!
  1. Puedo tomar fotografías? - Can I take pictures? 
  2. Cuánto tarda el tour? - How long has the tour been going on?
  3. Hay algún festival local? - Are there any local festivals? 
  4. Hay descuento para niños? - Is there a discount for kids? 
  5. A qué horas está abierto? - When's the hours? 
If you decide to make your vacation longer and go around the famous island resorts, it is good to know a few curious things about them.  Tenerife - the most famous of all Canary Islands. It's in the Atlantic Ocean, about 200 miles from the coast of Africa. The closest neighbors are the islands of La Gomera and Gran Canaria. The perfect climate, excellent infrastructure, business opportunities, high quality health and education, and the clean environment attract not only tourists but also many foreigners who make it their permanent home. Therefore, apart from Spanish, English and German do not give way here.  Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza are part of the Balearic Islands - archipelago in the Western Mediterranean Sea belonging to Spain.
