Listen and repeat.
Repeating video or audio material in English has proven a good method of memorizing the intonation features of the language, as well as remembering the correct accents on words. In English, often depending on where the emphasis falls, the word becomes one or the other meaning. Take, for example, the word "address ". If we place the emphasis on the first syllable of the first syllable of the first syllable of the word, then the word matters to the address of the place where we live or where a building, institution, etc. is located. As soon as we change the focus and place it on adre s , then the importance changes . This is just one of many examples. You can also use Youtube. Look for a favorite scene from a film in conversational English. It is important to have subtitles, first listen then repeat out loud reading the subtitles. Then remove the subtitles and just repeat what you hear.

Exercise #3 for better conversational English: think in English
The most common mistakes in conversational English are caused by our thoughts, which speak the language of our own. This moment is almost insurmountable when it comes to an early stage of language learning and we accidentally draw in our thoughts a sentence first in our native language, which we translate word by word in English. However, the literal transformation of one sentence from one language to another in most cases leads to improper construction, errors, and even nonsense. Try to improve your conversational English by thinking. For example, you can recall some moments of the day. Tell them in English or imagine different situations, for example, if you are in the store and you need to ask for something or order your favorite food in the restaurant. With this exercise, you cannot train your pronunciation, as it is entirely thought-based, but when you have to speak English, you will find the words easier.

Improved conversational English means simultaneously improving the understanding and communication of the foreign language. Surely you have convinced yourself that it is much easier to understand a message when it is written in English than when it is spoken out loud by another person. That's why if you chose to train your conversational English by watching movies in the original but do not understand an essential part of the film, play your subtitles.
Why is it harder to understand English when they speak to you
The main reasons are two:
- hard to decipher the sounds
- lack of a rich dictionary.
Sound decryption is associated with identifying a concept with specific sounds reaching a person's hearing. This process is not easy at all, especially when it comes to the initial phase of practicing conversational English: the sounds that come to us are unclear. The second problem is the lack of words in the dictionary. This means that if we do not know a certain word, its sound decryption becomes impossible because we do not associate it with any specific concept. It is also possible that we have learned the word by mispronunciation and the moment we meet it in the conversational English of our interlocutor, we simply do not recognize it. That is why training in conversational English should be done through exercises of voice and a lot of listening to radio, television, recordings in English.
Elementary but essential principle: daily exercise
You can only talk about 10-15 minutes of exercise to improve your conversational English, but remember it is important that these exercises are done regularly, if not every day, at least every day. You should also be aware of what level your conversational English is. By no means grab the Lord of the Rings if your English is rather at beginner level. Not understanding almost nothing is the fastest way to discourage and interrupt your self-preparation.
Another little trick.
Do not just listen to the words and the individual syllables of which the words are composed, but follow the rhythm, music, and the sound of the tongue, so that you can easily memorize whole sentences and separate words. And finally accept the improvement of your conversational English as something that can give you pleasure. In this sense select interesting video materials for you, songs, movies. Do nothing on duty, only so you will be successful in your endeavor.
