You need a certificate, but what?

There are people who learn languages for pleasure, common culture or just out of curiosity. However, if you are about to leave for a foreign country to work or study there, it is logical that you also need an appropriate certificate certifying your level of authority in the relevant language. But what is it, what are the minimum knowledge you have before starting with preparation, how long does it stand? These are the most common questions our students ask. Here is a brief overview of some of the most popular language certificates and useful facts and advice related to them.

English

It is undoubtedly the most popular and even mandatory in many cases, whether it be work or training abroad. Certificates:

1. International English Language Testing System or more known as IELTS The exam is one of the most popular and is widely recognized by institutions and educational institutions worldwide. When you plan to appear on IELTS, take into account the fact that the result of the exam is valid for 2 years. To start with the preparation, it is desirable that your level of English is at least B1 /according to the European Language Framework/. But you'll be easier to handle if you've reached B2.
2. FCE (Cambridge First Certificate) It is suitable for people who want to work in an English-language country or company, as well as for education that takes place in English, in higher schools. The minimum for starting training is the language of B1. The certificate has no statute of limitations.
3. CAE (Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English) And this Cambridge Certificate has no statute of limitations. To take the exam, however, you need a minimum level B2 with high vocabulary or to master C1 level in common English. This certificate shows a level of language knowledge expected by a qualified professional or student in a bachelor's program.

 

German

When it comes to training or work abroad, German is no less desirable than English. One of the most popular and recognised certificates is that of German education authorities - DSD   1. Deutsches Sprachdiplom, Stufe I or DSD 1 With it you certify German language knowledge when applying to a school (Studenkolleg) for language and special training in the respective specialty.

1. Deutsches Sprachdiplom, Stufe II or DSD 2 Serves as a certificate of the language's competence at the appropriate level, along with other requirements for admission to VUM in Germany.

 

Spanish

It is no secret that Spanish is one of the most common languages in the world. Apart from Spain and the Spanish communities around the world, it is also official in many countries of South America. If your career or training is related to any of them, you probably need an appropriate certificate to verify the level of knowledge you have. Graduates DELE are an official document valid throughout the world, certifying Spanish language. They are issued by the Ministry of Education and Professional Qualifications of Spain. Its validity is unlimited . . . . . . . once acquired applies throughout life. What's different here is that you can apply and acquire DELE after each level from A1 to C2.
